Lancome Doll Eyes Palette

I was given this Lancome palette for Christmas and from then onwards, one of it's five colours has been used on my eyes pretty much on a daily basis. I find it's colours (which do remind me a little of the shimmery pinky tones found in my favorite naked 3 palette) are really good for achieving a natural everyday look which brightens and widens the eyes.

The small size of this sleek palette makes it great for popping in a handbag and using for touchups throughout the day. It's also great to grab if you're travelling light as I find that it pretty much has my eyes, minus mascara covered. The mini brush which is included is far easier use, and achieve a blended out look with, than the traditional sponge tip applicators. However, that said, the thin spatula sponge is actually very useful to use with the darker colours for a quick application of eyeliner.

The far left colour is a lovely golden pink colour which looks lovely on the eyelid it has a small amount of shimmer to it also which brightens and makes the eyes look bigger. The top middle colour is an almost black shimmery purple which is very similar to Blackheart in the Naked 3 palette which is great for lining the eyes or in the crease for a more smokey look. The middle colour is a taupey brown colour which is lovely for emphasising the crease of the eye and, if I'm out, use it to re-define my eyebrows, if they need sprucing up a little. Below that is a pearly pink colour which I like to use for brightening the corners of the eyes. Finally the colour on the right which I found a little disappointing. Although it looks pink in the packaging, it comes out on the eyes as more of just a glitter rather than adding any colour to the eyes, and while it does work well as a highlight for under the brows I feel that it lets the palette down a little.
